Hi all,

Hope you all enjoyed the summer, as we are back with a bang starting this week. Phase 2 of the U12 league resumes on Thursday, and we will have matches in this competition every Thursday night in September. Furthermore, we have entered an U12 county championship, which has been graded based on the results of phase 1 of the league. We are in the B competition, so at least that should mean all our matches should be competitive. Also, there is a shield and plate competition, so win or lose, we will play a semi and a final in this competition. Note that this competition is full-on 15 a side, and will be the first serious competitive experience for many of our girls. We had a great finish to phase 1 of the league with wins against Adare, Treaty Gaels and Na Piarsaigh, the girls have made huge imrovements during the year, and we’re hoping to continue to make great strides with them for the rest of the year. Also, well done to our panel members born 2003 who have an U13 county final to look forward to in a few weeks time.

The schedule this week is:

Wednesday 2 Sept: Training resumes at the sand-based pitch at 6:30pm

Thursday 3 Sept: Away v Ballyagran in phase 2 of the U12 league, throw-in 6:30pm

Saturday 5 Sept: U12 Championship away v Tournafulla, throw-in 3pm.

Many of the girls will have football matches on Fridays as well, so we appreciate that parents could be stretched to breaking point, especially as we have two long journeys at least this week. so please do not hesitate to ask if your child needs a lift, we will do all we can to accommodate everyone.

For this week’s matches, please inform Miriam ASAP regarding your availability.

The full schedule for the U12 league is:

Thursday 24 Sept: Home v Kileedy throw in 6:30pm note change of time
