The U10 team who won every match at their blitz tonight, having lost every match this year until tonight. We were apprehensive coming in, as we were losing several players to other sports and activities tonight, and confidence was less than sky-high as we were without a win so far this year. However we started off with a clear-cut win against a Patrickswell side who themselves were without several regulars due to an U12 match. We then went on to a blood-and-thunder 14-a-side clash with Monaleen, who taught us a valuable lesson when they went in one goal ahead at half time despite us having about 90% of the posession. We turned it around in the second half with two goals which were effectively push-over tries. The game against Na Piarsaigh was ten a side, and was probably a bit more enjoyable for the girls in that they had a bit more space to play. Scores from Amy Connolly and Caoimhe Holmes had us ahead, and a brilliant save from Ella Mason at the end saw us preserve our 100% record on the night. By the time the final whistle went it was hard to know if the players, the coaches or the parents were the most excited. Well done girls on a fantastic performance and thanks to all the parents who supported, and a special mention is due to Caoimhe Nestor who was playing her first match for the club and did us proud. Players: Emma Kelly, Ciara Brennan, Ciara O’Keefe, Ella Page, Amy Connolly, Ella Mason, Ella Fahy, Caoimhe Nestor, Caoimhe O’Rourke, Emma Fitzgerald, Shannon O’Dwyer,  Caoimhe Holmes, Dearbhla Smith, Leah Nolan.
